Mikuni Fireworks and a ride
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering who was planning on going to the Mikuni Fireworks on Wed (11th). I am really hoping to go. I was wondering if anyone was heading there after the language course that is being offered in Fukui City. If so, would anyone be willing to take pity on me. I really want to go to the fireworks but I have no car. I have been taking the bus to get into Fukui City but the last bus out of the city is at 9:27. I am sure that fireworks will be later than that. So I was wondering if I could catch a ride with someone from Fukui City to the fireworks after the course (if anyone is going then) and then maybe someone would be willing to drive me home to Maruoka (you can even drop me off at the bus station and I will walk the rest of the way. I will give you gas money or whatever you want. I really don't want to miss another JET activity. As soon as I find the train station I will be in better shape for getting around but I haven't been able to locate it yet. Thank you thank you to anyone who will take pity on me.

P.S. I hope it is ok that I posted this here. If not, I am sorry. Let me know and it won't happen again.
Hey! The Echizen Line will take you to Mikuni from Fukui Station (It's just out the east gate, behind the bus station. You'll recognize it because the platform has a fake dinosaur sitting on one of its benches) for 750 Yen. I don't know how to best get back to Maruoka from there though, sorry! =(
Does the Echizen line only go from Fukui to Mikuni? I'm not going to the language course so I'll be going their on my own.
There're two lines on it; one goes from Fukui to Mikuni with a bajillion stops in the middle; the other goes from Fukui to Katsuyama. http://www.echizen-tetudo.co.jp/railway/index.html There's a timetable and a map (I was on it to see when the last train left from Mikuni). Does anyone know when the fireworks'll end?
