On Sunday, October 24th, the FIA will be holding its annual International Festival from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
Every year this festival brings international foods, songs, dancing and so much more for the community to share and enjoy. We ALTs play a large role in bringing the international to Fukui and this festival brings us a great opportunity to let our awesomeness shine.
For several years FJET has participated in this event by making a themed international games and activity room. Last year, our room was the most popular with the crowds and we got to meet some awesome people and make lasting friendships and ties within the community. We hope you will help us continue this tradition by volunteering your time. See below for how you can help with this year's festival!
Volunteering Opportunities
Be a Super Hero
Dress up as your favorite super hero and come to the festival. There will be games to play, kids to take photos with and impress, and tons of fun to be had.
Make Sweets for the Cake Walk
We need sweets! Smallish cupcake-sized, easily-shared sweets (lager is ok if you feel ambitious) are preferred. Be creative and bring foreign flavors to Fukui's palate!
Face Paint
Paint the faces of adorable children (and sometimes grown children) with flowers, peace signs, cats, dogs, frogs, etc. Materials will be provided so all we need are your artistic skills!
Make Decorations
We need superhero pictures, posters, facts, video, anything you can bring to help create the atmosphere for our superheroes room.
Email us at fjetlaision@gmail.com if you're interested in helping. Thanks!
