How about BOULDERING!!!!

As it turns out there is a BOULDERING GYM in Fukui city: ROCKSCAPER

Not a traditional gym but rather an indoor bouldering gym. If you want to try a different kind of workout, definitely check this place out. The staff are helpful and the owner speaks perfect English. Since the cost and the schedule is written in Japanese here is a basic English translation:

Hours and Days of Operation:

Monday - Friday - 3pm - 10pm
Sat - 12pm - 10 pm
Sun and Holidays - 12pm - 8pm

COSTS:

Visitors:
1 hour visit - 1,050 yen
1 day visit - 2,100 yen

7 times visit for 1 hour - 6,300 yen
12 times visit for 1 hour - 10,500 yen

Membership (you can stay as long as you want and go on any day the gym is open):
1 month - 8,400 yen
3 months - 22,050 yen
6 months - 50,950 yen
1 year - 75,600 yen

RENTAL of Equipment:
Chock - 105 yen
Shoes - 315 yen (no socks included)
